Institute - Associates
Agency Associates...
Agencies become an Associate of the Canadian Outcomes Research Institute when licensed or contracted to be
involved with any CORI Research Project. The HOMES-Muttart Research Project
(HMRP) is one of these projects and a license can be obtained when a contract
is signed between the CORI or the HMRP and the participant agency. Agencies and
projects who wish to join the research project as agency associate will be
offered training sessions and consultation regarding basic outcome models and
terminology, practices necessary to move agencies to an integrated outcome
orientation, and practices necessary to for use of the HOMES system. Hands-on
computer training will occur to ensure users are able to use the HOMES system
effectively. Agency research associate agree to have their data used for
eventual Best Practice Research.
University Partnership...
Universities are invited to participate as research associate. Universities
agree to act in consulting roles to local CORI Associate organizations. The
CORI agrees to receive ethics proposals directly from their departments for use
of the CORI database for research related to best practice investigation for
areas related to human services work. Ethics proposals must follow the policies
outlined in the Tri-Council Policy statement on Ethical Conduct for Research
Involving Humans.
Development Sites ...
Development sites are Associate agencies that agree to act as Host Sites and in
addition wish to contribute to the development of the HMRP database by offering
developmental suggestions, examples, and operational contributions to support
their suggested developments. Development sites agree to allow all Associate
organizations to use any technology that may arise from their developmental
work.
Host Sites ...
Host sites are agency Associates that have demonstrated competent use of
outcome monitoring techniques using the HMRP database and agree to act as
models for other agencies to also use outcome monitoring technology. These
sites agree to become accredited, including outcome accreditation with the
CORI. Host sites are encouraged to help train other agencies to also use
outcome monitoring techniques and are encouraged to use quality improvement
techniques to handle aggregate outcome data.
